Dentrix Enterprise offers a great deal of flexibility when creating a perio exam. One such flexibility is the ability to use shortcut keys to help you enter the measurement information into Dentrix Enterprise. Each one can help you complete an exam quickly and efficiently. Below are a few different shortcuts and tips to help you:

CTRL + S

Data Entry Controls
You can use your keyboard’s numeric keypad or the numbers on the top row to enter perio measurements. This works the same using the number keys in the Data Entry Controls.
The Minus key on the keyboard allows for entry of probing depths of 10mm or greater. For example, pressing minus(-) then 0 will give you 10, pressing minus(-) then 1 will give you 11, and so forth. Note: This shortcut is only available with the 10-key numeric pad.
Works the same as the Facial/Lingual button on the data entry controls. It toggles between the two surfaces of the selected tooth.
Use the Enter key to advance the selection through the current path and script settings.
Pressing the Home key sets the cursor to the first position in the currently selected Navigation Script (usually Tooth #1).
Ctrl + Delete
Pressing this will clear all data for the selected side of the tooth.
Pressing the “B” key enters the Bleeding measurement of the selected site.
Pressing the “S” key enters the Suppuration measurement of the selected site.
CTRL + B
Sets BOTH Bleeding AND Suppuration for the selected site on the tooth.
Note: this doesn’t work as a “toggle” it only sets the B & S to “On” not “Off”
Pressing the “A” key expands the context menu for the Plaque of the selected tooth. You may then press the corresponding Number Key for your selection.
Pressing the “G” key expands the context menu for the Furcation measurement.
