It is important to track and verify emergency contact information for your patients in case there is ever a medical emergency at your practice. In Dentrix Enterprise, you can verify or update this information from the Patient Information dialog box in the Family File.
Note: The functionality described in this post is available in the Patient Information dialog box of Family File only if it has been turned on in Global Settings. To do so, contact Dentrix Enterprise Technical Support.
- From a patient’s Family File window, double-click the Patient Information section.
- Click Contact Info near the bottom of the dialog box, and then click Add to start entering the patient’s emergency contact information.
Note: You do not need to add dashes to the phone number.
- Click Save.
To view the emergency contact, click the Contact Info button.
